General Info: Dry Falls Lake is located north of Soap Lake and east of Park Lake.  Fishing has been excellent the past five years for Rainbow Trout ranging in size from 12-20 inches with most fish greater than 14 inches.  This lake is best fished from a boat, float tube, or pontoon boat. While this lake can produce fishing days you will never forget on 18- to 19-inch trout, it can often be very difficult, especially early in the seasons before the hatches develop. Early, try chironomid patterns along the rock walls. Many fish cruise these areas for bugs. Historical note: The 400-foot rock face here was once a giant falls during catastrophic flooding in the last ice age. Often a great chironomid hatch at dusk. Key fly: Size 14 chironomid, gray with red stripe.

Suggested Flies: Chironomids under an indicator, balanced leeches and other streamer patterns. Consider intermediate sink line, sink tip or floating line with split shot.

Directions: Ten miles southwest of Coulee City off of Hwy 17, take Park Lake Rd NE to Deep Lake Rd NE to the boat launch at the southern end of the lake.

Food & Facilities: There is a vault toilet at the parking lot. This is a day outing so you are responsible for your own food, lunch and snacks. Bring drinking water.

Suggestions: Float tube or pontoon type watercraft recommended as there is very little shoreline easily accessed.
