Class has been put on hold pending the status of the pandemic.

As a lifelong Washington resident who loved fishing at an early age, I caught the fly fishing bug 45 years ago with a fly tying class taught at SFCC. Since then I have been a fly fish only angler, who enjoys sharing my talent of fly tying with anyone who asks. I have been a fly fishing merit badge counselor for the Boy Scouts of America; have tied flies at several fly fishing shows all over the Pacific Northwest, including Boise, Redmond, Albany, Ellensburg, Lewiston, and Sandy, UT.

For six years I was the fly tying Chairman at the WSCFFI Fly Fishing Show in Ellensburg, WA. Currently, I am involved with Project Healing Waters, Spokane,
as lead tying instructor and serve on the board of Washington State Council FFI. (Fly Fishers International)

Starting January 9, 2021, for six consecutive Saturdays, running through February 13, 2021 beginning fly tying classes for ten Spokane Fly Fishers members will take place at Sportsman’s Warehouse on 6720 N. Division.
If the Covid 19 is still here we may have to reduce the class size or even cancel the class. The class will be from 10 AM to 1 PM. Two patterns will be tied each Saturday. Price for the class is $50 which will pay for the materials and room rental. Bring your own tools to the first class if you have them. Tools will be available at the class.
