Check In: at the boat launch

Directions: Take I-90W and take exit #270 to Cheney. Go through Cheney & at the end of town look for MULLINIX  RD (sign on your left) and take MULLINIX Road. Continue on Mullinix for about 10 miles to Pine Springs Road.  TURN RIGHT and drive along until you find a small AMBER LAKE sign. Turn left here & follow the dirt road to the parking lot. Drive down the hill to unload your boat. But you must park in the parking lot

Parking: A WA DISCOVER PASS is required.

Food: This is considered a day outing so you are responsible for your own lunches and snacks. There is no water available at this so you should bring your own drinking water.

Lake Updates: Contact Silverbow (924 9998)  or visit their website to view weekly updates on area lakes  along with recommended flies.

NOTE:  Amber Lake is surrounded in private land, so there is very little opportunity to shore fish. Float Tubes, Pontoons, or light boats are best.  Also NO GAS MOTORS allowed. 

Recommended Set Up: Rod (5wt or 6wt). Floating line. RIO InTouch Deep 3 or Deep 6 sinking line. Leader 3x. Tippet  Mono or Fluorocarbon (3x, 4x). 5 or 6 wt floating line may be used also for dry fly  or shallow nymph fishing.

Recommended Flies: Chironomids, Woolly or Conehead Buggers. Damsel fly or Dragon Fly nymphs may work too.
