This year the “Spokane Showdown” competition between Spokane Fly Fishers vs. Inland Empire fly Fishing Club will be held at Amber Lake on Sat., Oct. 3 at 9:00am.
Find a partner (two-person teams) and fish from 9:00am in until noon.
We’ve done away with the biggest fish category, so it comes down to the number of fish caught in those three hours by each team. There will be a barbeque shortly after noon where teams will reveal the number of fish they caught. The winning team will have their names engraved on the trophy and may keep it until next year.
We would really like to have a big turnout for this event from both clubs! There are very accomplished anglers in both clubs, but who is really the best? We shall see! The purpose of this event isn’t really about winning or losing. It’s about having fun and maybe making some new friends, just getting people together.
Please consider participating! If you don’t have a partner, let someone know and we will find someone for you to fish with. We’re trying our best to make this a terrific annual event everyone looks forward to.
